敝人（小編OS：史考特老師會用”敝人”這個詞!!!中文也太好了吧！）住台南，週末跟台灣朋友去安平的公園，發現人擠人！朋友說：

諸位英文偵探，你們破案了嗎？

對，這是蠻純粹的「中式英文」。這就是從「哇，人很多」直接翻過來的！
我不敢說是100%「錯」的，但我從來沒有聽過一個美國人這樣講。
正確的是：
√ Wow, there are a lot of people!
我們可以說：★★★很多中文用「...很多」或「...很少」句型的情況，英文會用 There is/are！★★★

「吧啦吧啦...少」一樣。考慮：
[?] At the little bookstore near my house, the books are few.
(我家附近的小書店，書很少。)
其實，口語上我們習慣這樣講：
√ At the little bookstore near my house, there aren't many books.
就算我們習慣用否定性的 there aren't many, 肯定性的 there are few 我們也可以接受。

★ 英文裡頭，there is/are 是非常常見、非常有用的句型，所以你應該養成常說它的習慣！
